UW-Stevens Point Symphony Orchestra to feature music of the night

STEVENS POINT — Enjoy music inspired by the night performed by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Symphony Orchestra Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Titled “Nocturne…the Music of the Night,” the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Michelsen Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center, 1800 Portage St., Stevens Point. The Symphony Orchestra is directed by Andy Moran, assistant professor of horn and orchestral director.
Works will include “Night on Bald Mountain” by Modest Mussorgsky, “Nocturne” from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Felix Mendelssohn, “Nocturne for Strings” by Alexander Borodin and “This Midnight Hour” by Anna Clyne.
Senior education major Nayoung Ryoo will conduct the Borodin piece.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, $5 for UW-Stevens Point students, faculty and youth and free the day of the concert for students with a UW-Stevens Point I.D. if not sold out.
