STEVENS POINT — Two local organizations are partnering yet again to bring joy to local families in need.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin is teaming up with Bria Bella & Co. this season for the second annual Holiday Giftback. Last year’s event saw 20 families sponsored, whom were provided gift baskets that were hand-delivered to them in time for Christmas.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin Program Director Allie Dorshorst is excited to team up with Bria Bella & Co. Owner Tara Manzke for another holiday promotion aimed to giving back to Portage and Wood County families.

“Last year was so successful, we decided to keep the tradition going. In 2017, we were able to provide 20 families in Portage County with new toys, household items, socks, hats, and mittens and non-perishable food,” said Dorshorst. “It is an amazing opportunity for our community to come together and make the holidays a little brighter for those in need.”

Businesses, offices, and families are encouraged to sponsor those in need for the event. They can do so by contacting the official event Facebook page, or by calling Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin at 715-341-0661, or Bria Bella & Co. at 715-575-2000.

One business has already stepped up to sponsor a family, as First Weber Realtors signed on Wednesday morning.

“We love supporting those in need and being part of a generous, caring community,” said Licensed Administrative Assistant Sue Hackbarth. “We are the human side of Real Estate.”

Items needed:
▪️Non-perishable food items
▪️Hygiene & personal care items
▪️New Books
▪️New Toys (unwrapped & for children of all ages)
▪️Gift cards (gas cards or grocery gift cards)

Donations can be dropped off at:

Bria Bella & Co. (925 Main St. Downtown Point) OR
Big Brothers Big Sisters (Inside of the YMCA in Stevens Point)
