Christmas Pins from the Collection of Leigh Allgaier
Leigh Allgaier has been collecting Christmas pins since attending her first antique show 40 years ago. Many of the pins in her collection are from the 1950’s and 1960’s, others are brand new. The pins usually range in price from between $30 and $60, with one special pin costing $400. Leigh commented, “I hope you enjoy the collection. Maybe you’ll see the pin your mother wore many years ago.”
Thomas Nast Santa Prints from the Collection of Emily Betinis
Thomas Nast was an illustrator for Harper’s Weekly in the 19th century, known for his now familiar Democratic donkey, Republican elephant and Uncle Sam. His most famous creation was the image of Santa Claus modeled after St. Nick in Clement Clarke Moore’s poem, “Account of a Visit from St. Nicholas.”
