Long-time employee retires after 44 years of service

STEVENS POINT — Last week, the Herrschners family bid farewell to a long-time employee, avid community volunteer, and great friend, Terry Lucas.
For 44 years, Terry has worked for Herrschners, setting an example of strong work ethic and leadership for the 120-year-old company.
“Beyond Terry’s work lies another side that is a truer testament to the kind of person she is.” said Herrschners owner and CEO Ted Hesemann.
For over 15 years, Lucas has been the Herrschners organizer and volunteer for Muzzy Broadcasting and WSPT’s Christmas is for Children campaign. Lucas (along with other Herrschners employees) raises money for toys and gifts to brighten the holiday season for 150 to 200 local children each Christmas.
“From collecting donations to getting the word out and sponsoring children, Terry is a strong influence in the company and community for the Christmas is for Children program,” said Hesemann. “We are grateful for all she has brought to our Herrschners family and the Stevens Point community.”
“Herrschners will continue to carry on the work Terry has done for the local children. We wish Terry all the best in the next leg of her journey and hope she enjoys a much deserved retirement.”
