Central Wisconsin tennis opportunities at SentryWorld

Registration for youth winter tennis lessons and a tennis tournament for all ages and skill levels is currently underway.
Sign up for the Stevens Point Youth Team Tennis at SentryWorld is available through Sunday, Dec. 16. The lessons are open for ages 5-14 years old, and will be held Sundays from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10, 2019, except for Jan. 27.
Participants use modified equipment and courts, tailored to their age and size, making it easier to play, rally and succeed from the start. All players receive a team T-shirt, age appropriate racquet and ball, and a goodie bag.
Registration is $65 per player, and space is limited. Scholarships are available through the Central Wisconsin Tennis Alliance for players in need of financial assistance.
Sign up is available online at www.midwestteamtennis.com/?post_type=event&p=4703.
Registration is also taking place for The Frosty Open tennis tournament, which will be held at SentryWorld Friday through Sunday, Feb. 1-3.
The tournament is open to all ages and skill levels, with a $40 entry fee for singles players, and $50 per doubles teams ($25 per player).
Entry deadline is 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28. Players may enter a maximum of two events, but only one singles event. Participants are guaranteed a minimum of two matches.
