MADISON — In early January, Senator Patrick Testin (R – Stevens Point) will be stepping into the role as chairman of the Committee on Health and Human Services.
Testin, still in his first term, established himself this past session as an advocate for increasing the rural health care workforce.
“Healthcare is an issue that touches everyone’s life, and I look forward to continuing to advocate for my constituents in my new role as chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Human
Services,” said Sen. Testin.
Last session, Senator Testin chaired the Senate Committee on Workforce Development, Military Affairs, and Senior Issues. During his time as chair, Testin developed legislation to grow Wisconsin’s workforce by attracting new talent and by giving current residents greater access to resources that would help them enter the job market.
