UPDATE: Police arrest two suspected of armed burglaries at Knights Inn

STEVENS POINT — More details have been released on the incident at the Knights Inn on Church Street.
According to a police news release, law enforcement received information that two suspects, Michael A. and Denae M. Westfahl, were involved in armed burglaries in Adams County and were staying at Knights Inn, 3421 Church St.
Information provided to police indicated that the suspects had multiple firearms and were considered armed and dangerous.
At 3:40 p.m., SWAT personnel from Stevens Point, Plover, and Portage County made contact with both suspects at Knights Inn.
At 3:48 p.m. Westfahl surrendered to law enforcement without incident, and at 5:05 p.m. Michael also surrendered without incident.
Both suspects were taken into custody on active warrants through Adams County. Police would locate multiple loaded guns, as well as an AR-15 and handguns, were located within their hotel room.
No further information will be released at this time.
