Kizewski advances to FCS National Championship Game with NDSU

Former Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) standout Victor Kizewski is going to the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) National Championship Game for the second year in a row with the North Dakota State University (NDSU) football team.

Top-ranked North Dakota State (14-0) won 44-21 over fifth-ranked South Dakota State (10-3) in a FCS Semifinal at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., Friday, Dec. 14, to advance to the National Championship Game for the seventh time in eight years.
North Dakota State will face third-ranked Eastern Washington (12-2) at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in the FCS National Championship Game in Frisco, Texas, which will be broadcast on ESPN2.
A reserve wide receiver, Kizewski has played in eight games this season as a redshirt sophomore, and has one tackle on special teams.
Last year as a running back and wide receiver, Kizewski had 10 carries for 30 yards and made one tackle on special teams in seven games for then-second-ranked North Dakota State, which won 17-13 over top-ranked and defending National Champion James Madison in the National Championship Game to finish 14-1 and win its sixth National Title in seven years.
Kizewski was a three-year starter at running back and wide receiver for SPASH, as he was a Second Team All-Valley Football Association – Southern Division (VFA-SD) selection at wide receiver as a junior and senior, a First Team All-VFA-SD running back as a senior, and the 2015 VFA-SD Offensive Back and Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.
