The second day of the three-day Sentry Classic took place at Bennett Court at Quandt Fieldhouse Friday, Dec. 28.

The Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) girls basketball team (8-3) trailed Division 3 top-ranked and reigning WIAA Division 3 State Champion Marshall (8-2) by 11 with eight minutes to go, before the Panthers rallied for a 62-58 victory.

In the final game of the day, the SPASH boys basketball team (5-3) pulled away in the second half for a 59-43 win over Oak Creek (4-5).

The Division 5 sixth-ranked Almond-Bancroft boys (8-1) suffered their first loss of the season, as they fell 72-49 to Division 3 Stratford (8-0).

To open the day, the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln boys (1-7) lost 62-56 to New Berlin West (3-8), while Division 4 top-ranked and reigning Division 4 State Champion La Crosse Aquinas (11-0) rolled to a 74-39 win over Watertown (8-3).
