Obituary: Robert Joseph “Freeway Bob” Goszkowicz

Bob Goszkowicz, 57, of Rosholt passed away after battling cancer December 27th, 2018. He was at home surrounded by his family and friends. Bob was born on August 24th, 1961. He was son of the late Robert Frank and Julia Diana (Tarkowski) Goszkowicz. Bob was married to Deanna Marie Firkus in Milwaukee on June 5th, 1993.

He owned his own business “Freeway Construction,” which gave him many opportunities to share his abilities and giving heart to the community. Bob enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, involving himself in ministries and watching his two sons Rob and Ryan grow and share their talents. Anyone that knew Bob could recognize him by his humorous, loving, strong, and godly personality.

He was preceded in death by his brother Harry Goszkowicz. Survivors include: Wife- Deanna (Firkus) Goszkowicz, Sons- Rob and Ryan Goszkowicz, Sisters- Susie (Gordon) Rich, Pat Goszkowicz, Linda (John) Tjaaland and Mary Goszkowicz.

His wife and sons would like to thank their family, friends, and members of the community for their unending support.

Bob’s funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm at Highland Church in Plover on January 5th, 2019. Visitation will be open from 2:00pm- 4:00pm with an hour service to follow at the church. People are then welcome to join the family in a potluck reception after the service has concluded. Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point is honored to be serving the Goszkowicz family.
