Redevelopment Authority announces two new grant programs

STEVENS POINT — The city has announced the addition of two new grant programs.
Called Neighbor Helping Neighbor and Residential Structure Demolition, these programs seek to assist home owners and properties in need.
According to the news release on the city’s website:
“The first program, Neighbor Helping Neighbor, is designed for low and moderate income residents to receive up to $1,000 in reimbursement funding for materials for property improvement projects. Please note, labor is not an eligible cost.
The second program, Residential Structure Demolition, is a demolition program that will reimburse a property owner up to $15,000 who razes a dwelling and builds a new single family home within 12 months.”
