Obituary: Allan J. Mathe

Allan J. Mathe of Bancroft passed away on January 3, 2019 in his home while under the care of hospice.
Age 80 Allan was born October 28th, 1938 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Allen and Goldie Mathe. He graduated Almond High School in 1956. Allan entered The United States Navy on September 6th, 1956 in Chicago, IL. He served as a Boatswain’s Mate on The USS Walker. He was honorably discharged on June 10, 1960 in San Francisco, CA. Allan received The Good Conduct Medal. His marriage to Kathleen Rossman took place on September 16th 1961 at The Roman Catholic Church, St. John in Almond, WI. Allan worked at Nekoosa Paper Mill as a lab technician for 33 years until his retirement. In his life Allan was a creator.
He loved creating for his family and spending time with his family. He created beautiful intricate quilts, breathtaking and bountiful gardens, a beautiful garden pond and waterfall, amazing woodworks; like rocking horses and furniture, and loved the outdoors including fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife Kathleen, two siblings, his two children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings and one grandchild. As per Allan’s wishes private family services were held. His burial will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery. The Pisarski Community Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
