Doris Ann Langford, 57, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully in Orange Beach, Alabama on Wednesday, December 26th with her sister, Deb by her side.

Doris was born in August, 1961 to Gene and Betty Piotrowski in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She grew up in Stevens Point, attending local schools and graduating from SPASH in 1980. While in high school she enjoyed basketball, jewelry making, art, and photography.  She joined the army in 1983.  Attached to the 79th Combat Engineers she spent time in Tennessee,  Germany, and South Korea.  She returned to Stevens Point in 1989, where she worked as a professional house painter and later for Okray’s Produce.

Doris loved the Riverfront Rendevous, fireworks, fishing, walks with her dogs over the years, the Farmers Market on the Square, and barbecues with friends.  She enjoyed traveling in the winter to warmer climates where her sisters, Deb and Denise resided, Alabama, and Arizona.  Doris was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.  She decorated her home with wall to wall Packer memorabilia against the gold and green paint of the team she loved.

When diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer 13 years ago, Doris exhibited extreme courage and will to fight.  She maintained a cheerful outlook through countless radiation and chemotherapy treatments, two hip replacements, hospital stays, and constant pain.  She gave back to the community by crocheting countless afghans for cancer patients and donating to locks of love, each time her hair grew back.  She battled cancer to the very end, spending those last days at the beach.

She is survived by her mom, Betty Piotrowski, and sisters, Denise Piotrowski and Deb Hultquist,  her nephews, Michael and Joe Hultquist; and, great niece, Kylin, and great-nephew, Maverick.  As well as, her best friend, Bob Ciseski, and furbaby, Cooper.  She was preceded in death by her brother, David (1979), her sister Darlene (2001), and father Gene (2003).  A private service has been held.  A military burial is planned for the spring.  Memorial donations may be made to the animal charity of your choice.
