STEVENS POINT – The annual “Winter’s Garden” juried exhibition of botanical, floral, and garden inspired art and live plant sale opens on Jan. 18 at the Riverfront Arts Center (RAC).

The exhibit includes around 85 unique pieces of artwork from local and regional artists in mediums that range from watercolor, oil and photography to jewelry, glass and ceramics. Most pieces of artwork are for sale. The RAC’s gift shop will also be open with a variety of all handmade-by-artists gifts to choose from.

The exhibition also includes a live plant sale that is a fundraiser for the RAC. Plant varieties will include cyclamen, kalanchoes, bromeliads, orchids and more. Plants come from Krueger Floral ‘N Gifts in Mosinee. “Winter’s Garden” is a community favorite, garden oasis in the midst of our Central Wisconsin winter. The exhibit opens Jan. 18 and runs until Feb. 24 with an opening reception on Friday, Jan. 18 from 5-7 p.m. that is free and open to the public.

The Riverfront Arts Center is open to the public and free of charge. Hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 am – 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Closed on Mondays, holidays and between exhibits. For questions call at 715-343-6251 or email at [email protected].
