Letter: Join us for 55th annual Izaak Walton Winter Jamboree

To the Editor:
The Bill Cook Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of Portage County invites everyone out to their 55th Annual Winter Jamboree on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from noon until 4 p.m. As usual, the event is held just off Patch Street near McDill Pond.
This is a great excuse to get out of the house and enjoy some great family fun. We will have a large heated tent and will be serving our famous “Ike” burgers with or without fried onions.
In addition to having our main raffle with over $3,000 in prizes, we will also be drawing for over 80 door prizes. The main raffle prizes will be drawn at 4 p.m. to close the day. An ice fishing contest for adults and kids will also take place. In addition, we will be having some great snow sculptures by Jeff Schobert and a lumberjack demonstration by the UWSP competitive lumberjack club.
As always, we will make a pile of snow so that the kids will have some great sledding along with the Boy Scouts setting up a winter camp site.
So, come out and meet your neighbors and friends at the 55th Annual Winter Jamboree on Patch Street, Saturday. February 2, from 12 to 4 p.m.
See you there!
