Jan. 10

At 7:57 a.m. officers responded to a family disturbance over a child custody issue, leading to a male suspect’s warrant arrest on the 1700 block of Fremont Street.

At 2:00 p.m. authorities charged a male suspect for a hit-and-run on an unattended vehicle and driving without insurance in the Main Street and Strongs Avenue area.

At 11:50 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious vehicle/person in the Wilshire Boulevard area of Stevens Point.

Jan. 11

At 9:05 a.m. officers cited a male suspect for operating a vehicle with a revoked license due to alcohol/substance charges.

At 3:40 p.m an inattentive driver caused an accident near the Division and Franklin Street area.

No. of accidents reported: 1

Jan. 12

At 10:52 a.m. a caller made a suspicious vehicle/person report on the 1200 block of West Whitney Street.

At 1:40 p.m. authorities cited a female suspect for operating her vehicle without insurance near the Main and Cross Street area.

At 8:02 p.m. officers charged a male suspect for battery, domestic abuse and disorderly conduct at a bar on Church Street in Stevens Point.

Jan. 13

At 2:44 p.m. police cited a male suspect for operating a vehicle while under the influence after a routine traffic stop for a missing headlight near Matilda and Church Street.

At 9:49 a.m. a male victim informed police of a threatening call he received from a male suspect in Stevens Point

At 5:33 p.m. a female victim reported a male suspect for harassment and stalking in the Stevens Point area.

Jan. 14

At 9:37 a.m. a caller reported a counterfeit $20 being used by a suspect at a gas station on Prairie Street.

At 1:36 p.m. authorities arrived at a domestic dispute and charged a male suspect for disorderly conduct on the 1400 block of Torun Road.

At 6:43 p.m. a caller informed police of a suspicious vehicle/person near the Oak Street area.

Jan. 15

At 2:54 a.m. authorities arrested a male suspect for possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia and possession of a concealed firearm near Church Street and Whiting Avenue.

At 11:40 a.m. a bag of cannabis and drug paraphernalia was found by staff in a hotel drawer on the 300 block of Division Street.

At 1:35 p.m. a caller informed police of a scam caller stating they were a government employee in the Stevens Point area.

Jan. 16

At 7:35 a.m. authorities cited a male suspect for his first possession charge of cannabis and drug paraphernalia near the 600 block of Portage Street.

At 1:19 p.m. a suspect reported being fooled by a fraud scam online centered around eBay gift cards, the suspect possibly lost $100.

At 8:41 p.m. officers responded to the sound of possible gunshots and put a probation hold on the involved suspect.
