City will apply for WEDC grant for Third Street development

STEVENS POINT — Council members passed a resolution allowing the city to apply for a Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) grant for the possible Third Street development project.
These grants support projects by providing funding for developments which are considered downtown community driven. The resolution states that the city will submit a Community Development Investment (CDI) grant
application for such a purpose.
The total amount the city can apply for with matching funds is $250,000.
