Obituary: Mary Wiza

Mary Lee Wiza, age 71, of Stevens Point, died on Friday, January 25, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on October 1, 1947 in Stevens Point a daughter of Edward and Margaret (Lepinski) Kotlewski. Mary was united in marriage to James Peter Wiza on May 14, 1966 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point.

Mary attended St. Peter Middle School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.  She was the Secretary for the Wisconsin State Lions Club organization for many years.  Mary enjoyed traveling with her friends Leslie Peters and Phyllis Burant, shopping, cooking and making “The Best Damn Potato Salad in the World”.  Her greatest joy was being with her family but especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by; her four children, Michael (Christine) Wiza, Scott Wiza, Rebecca (James) Kawleski and Jodi (Todd) Biadasz; nine grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Matowitz and Kathleen (Larry) Grulkowski; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by; her parents; husband James; two babies called to heaven before birth; and her best friend Phyllis Burant.

Funeral services will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point at 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

Visitation will be at the funeral Home, on Tuesday, from 3:00PM until the time of the service. A Rosary Service will held at 6:30PM.  Private family burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
