STEVENS POINT — Offering a wide variety of classes, learning experiences and field trips for adults, the Learning is ForEver (LIFE) program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is taking registrations for the spring semester.
LIFE is supported by the UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education and Outreach office and offers more than 60 classes and trips each semester. Opportunities include educational workshops on health, entertainment, travel, practical knowledge and academics, book club discussions and trips to a Brewers game or theatre performance. A semiannual membership fee of $45 includes most offerings. Some may require registration and an additional fee or have a limit to participants.
The LIFE program has been around for almost 20 years, starting with a few members and classes and growing to what it has become today. “Our goal with this program is to continue to cultivate the curious mind,” said Anne Rogalski, program manager. “Members tell me LIFE gives them life.”
If interested in joining the LIFE program, contact Continuing Education and Outreach at 715-346-3838 or go www.uwsp.edu/conted/artculture/Pages/life/default.aspx to see a full list of offerings, photos from last fall’s program and online registration.
