STEVENS POINT — Holy Spirit Parish will construct an additional building, as plans were given a go by planning members on Monday night.
Plans will see a new building constructed on the corner of High Street and Fremont Street. The addition will be approximately 10,500 square feet, which will sit on the northeast side of the church. The rectory home on site will be slated for demolition, and a new parking lot will take its place.
However, for interested parties in preserving the rectory home, please contact the church.
According to city memos, the design of the new one-story structure will “somewhat” match the church building. The new building design will incorporate masonry into the facade, as well as three large windows along the east side. The building will also feature a drive-up canopy with a gabled roof.
Construction and design will be done courtesy of Rettler Corporation.
Holy Spirit Parish is located at 838 Fremont St.
