A stolen car, police arrest a suspect for drug possession and more in this week’s Gazette Police Blotter.

Feb. 28

At 2:13 a.m. police arrested a driver for their first OWI during a routine traffic stop for operating a vehicle without headlights near Division Street.

At 2:11 p.m. police brought in a felony bail jumping suspect on the 1600 block of Reserve Street.

At 8:19 p.m. a concerned citizen reported a suspicious person and vehicle near the 2400 block of Clark Street.

Mar. 1

At 11:59 a.m. a caller informed police of a strong odor of cannabis coming from a tenant’s apartment near Prentice Street, authorities later charged the suspect with possession of THC and paraphernalia.

At 3:11 p.m. police performed a welfare check on an intoxicated individual on the 300 block of Lindenberg Avenue.

At 3:45 p.m. a caller reported a fraud case in the Stevens Point area.

Mar. 2

At 2:51 a.m. a caller informed police of a suspicious vehicle near Third Street.

At 11:45 a.m. a caller reported a male suspect staying in a hotel for suspicious behavior, police later arrested the suspect for probation violation near Division Street.

Mar. 3

At 8:36 p.m. officers arrested a male suspect for domestic abuse and disorderly conduct on the 2600 block of Indiana Avenue.

At 9:15 p.m. a concerned citizen informed authorities of a suspicious vehicle near Briggs Street.

No. of accidents reported: 1

Mar. 4

At 5 a.m. a suspect stole a victim’s running vehicle from a parking lot near First Street.

At 10:12 a.m. a victim reported an assault case to authorities that took place near Crosby Avenue.

At 11:43 a.m. officers cited a suspect for defrauding a hotel on the 300 block of Division Street.

Mar. 5

At 3:52 p.m. police performed a welfare check on a suicidal individual to ensure their safety in Stevens Point.

At 7:01 p.m. a caller filed a missing person report to authorities in the Stevens Point area.

At 9:03 p.m. a victim informed police an unknown suspect stole their delivered package near Bush Street.

At 11:53 p.m. a victim informed authorities their ex-partner stole their phone and keys on the 900 block of First Street.
