“Emerging Artists” Student Art Exhibit Opens March 15

STEVENS POINT – The “Emerging Artists” Stevens Point area junior and senior high school art exhibit opens March 15 and runs until April 7 with an opening reception on March 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Riverfront Arts Center (RAC).
The reception is free and open to the public. Students in grades 7 through 12 are selected by art teachers at Ben Franklin Junior High School, P.J. Jacobs Junior High School, Stevens Point Area Senior High School, Pacelli Catholic High School and St. Paul Lutheran School.
The RAC would like to congratulate all students who will have artwork on display in the gallery and throughout the community during Youth Art Month. Thank you to all teachers, parents and members of the community that support these emerging artists.
It is also time to start thinking about the annual “Peeps” candy art exhibit. Submissions will be due to the RAC April ‘9 and April 10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More details and entry forms are available in-person and on our website, www.stevenspoint.com/rac.
