In addition to localized flooding of roads and yards in the Village of Plover, a surge of meltwater/stormwater from the Shady Drive area began affecting the southern part of the Village of Plover at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
The meltwater/stormwater has flooded local roads, including portions of STH 54, resulting in several road closures. Specifically, the STH 54/Post Road/CTH B intersection has been closed due to flooding. A detour route for Highway 54 has been established and is clearly marked. Caution is advised while traveling through the Village of Plover. The traveling public is advised to observe all marked detour routes. Local traffic is advised to check streets for standing water and avoid such areas.
Streets that are covered in water are considered dangerous, and may contain potholes, open sanitary sewer manholes, and deep water. Drivers are advised to avoid driving on streets covered in water.
Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
