Plover pushes back compost site opening and curbside pickup

PLOVER — The Village of Plover pushed back the opening of their compost site, and local curbside brush and yard material pick up by approximately two weeks. The delay is due to continued snow melt and thaw issues that have shaken the area over recent weeks.
The compost site, located at 4496 Coolidge Ave., will open to the public on April 18, with set operational hours of Mondays and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The village’s curbside brush material pickup program will start up again on April 15, and curbside yard material pickup will start April 22.
The village will also pick up and accept brush larger than the established recommended size due to the severity of this winter. Residents wishing to take advantage of the limited time oversized pick up services should contact the Plover Public Works Department to schedule appointments.
Residential properties located on undeveloped lots, such as mobile homes, are currently excluded from the pickup program.
Contact the Plover Public Works Department or Municipal Center for more information on the rescheduling of the compost site opening and curbside pickup programs.
