Wisconsin Master Chorale Present: Gospels, Classics to Broadway
For the Gazette
STEVENS POINT — It’s Springtime! And what better way to celebrate than with a choir concert.
The twenty-one member chorale, Directed by Larry P. Hansen will perform three Spring Concerts the first weekend in April. From the driving beat and enormous appeal of the gospel style, to a selection from Franz Haydn’s masterpiece oratorio, The Creation, to Music of the Night by Andrew Lloyd Webber it’s a concert for everyone. The choir is filled with members who love to sing. To share in the joy, join us at our concerts. Then, join the choir. All are welcome.
Wisconsin Master Chorale will launch their nineteenth year, and thirty-eighth season with this concert. Performing Spring and Christmas concerts each year has allowed the choir to reach thousands and thousands of choral aficionados, offering the experience of live choral music in some of the best musical venues in the area. Members range from high school students, to retirees with highly trained vocalists singing next to beginners.
“The ability to inspire and enable others to create beautiful music or bring a character to life is what fulfills my soul.” said Hanson.
