Officials make amendments to parking in downtown area

STEVENS POINT — On Monday, April 8, Public Works officials have approved a move that repeals a no parking ordinance in some areas downtown.
Multiple amendments have been made to the streets, including the creation of a Parking Reserved for Handicapped Persons zone in certain areas. This was made at the request of Pacelli Middle School, as the school does not have a parking lot of their own and uses on-street parking for visors and staff.
Pictures are below which indicate the changes. Final approval will come at next week’s common council.
