Rep. Shankland welcomes UWSP Men’s Hockey champions to the State Capitol

MADISON- On Tuesday, April 9, the State Assembly unanimously passed Assembly Joint Resolution 21, authored by Rep. Katrina Shankland (D-Stevens Point) to congratulate the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men’s hockey team on their recent national championship win.
Shankland released a statement in response:
“I’m excited to welcome the UW-Stevens Point men’s hockey team to the State Capitol! It has been a great day of celebrating our Pointers, from unanimously passing a resolution in the Assembly in the team’s honor to visiting with and receiving a plaque from Governor Evers.”
“The team has made our entire campus, community, and state immensely proud in winning the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s Hockey national championship title, and I was so glad to honor the team, coaching staff, and athletic director today in the Capitol.”
