Winners announced for the 2019 Community Weight Race

STEVENS POINT — The 2019 Community Weight Race Award Ceremony, hosted by Advanced Physical Therapy Associates, took place at the Stevens Point Police Station on April 11.
Participants from around the county gathered to see which team won the Golden Scale Award. The contest started in January with initial weigh-ins. Participating groups attended educational seminars and met required weight loss goals to gain points. The first place Golden Scale winner this year was Del Monte Foods Inc.
The second place team was Verso, followed by Donaldson followed by Delta Dental in fourth. While some teams may not have placed, contest staff see any strides to a healthier lifestyle as a win. With this year’s race wrapped up, future weight loss champions are setting strategies and organizing teams in hopes of taking home next year’s Golden Scale award.
