Jensen Community Center to hold annual plant sale and antique appraisal fair
For the Gazette
AMHERST — The Jensen Community Center in Amherst will once again hold its annual Spring Plant Sale fundraiser on Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to Noon outside the front entry located at 487 N. Main Street, Amherst.
There will be a large variety of perennials, annuals, vegetables, trees, garden art, and more, all at great prices. Many plants are generously donated by area residents and area businesses including: Amherst Family Foods, Antiquity Acres, Judah Studios, Alchemy Concrete, Ladybug Gardens, Silver Mist Garden Center, and Wisconsin Territories Farm Market.
Donations of plants and garden items will be accepted through Friday, May 10, at the north end of the building. For more information and to donate, call the Jensen Center at 715-824-5202 or email at [email protected].
The Jensen Center will also host its 3rd Annual Antiques & Collectibles Appraisal Fair from 8 a.m. to Noon inside the building. Area experts in a wide range of antiques and collectibles will be on hand to identify items and provide an estimate of value as well as ideas of how best to store or sell items. (Experts will not buy items during the event.)
Due to potential liability issues, the event will not include firearms for identification and valuation, although specialists may provide information from clear, detailed photos brought in.
Note that, while the consultants are experts in their respective fields, not all are certified appraisers. In lieu of a set fee per item, donations will be accepted. For more info, visit www.lettiejensencenter.org, Facebook: Jensen Community Center/Community Spirit or Instagram: @jensen.center
