PLOVER — Plover Village Board members acknowledged Ward 1 Trustee Andrew Timm for his five years of dutiful service and aid to the village at the board meeting on April 17.

Timm served on the board from 2014-2019, and is leaving before his 2020 term closing date due to his wife acquiring a new position in the Racine area. Adam Raabe was appointed to fill the remainder of Timm’s term at the meeting.

“With sincere appreciation and gratitude to Andrew Timm, who has served as a trustee of the Village Board of Plover for the past five years, during which time he served as a member of the finance, public works, administrative personnel, negotiating, water-wastewater utility, parks development, Springville Pond management, and special assessments committees,” said Village President Tom Davies. “And has, throughout these five years, devoted his time to the betterment of the residents of the Village of Plover through his actions and efforts and energy to provide planned, controlled growth and the continued provision of quality services by the Village of Plover.”

Timm is excited about the prospects of his new venture but will miss his peers and friends in the Plover area.

“The biggest thing I am going to miss is the staff,” Timm said in an exclusive interview with the Gazette. “Things run so well. Everyone is so focused on helping the citizens here — it’s just beautiful.”

Timm’s appointed replacement, Raabe, was highly praised by village officials and is a close personal friend of Timm’s. The two were high school acquaintances, and both graduated from SPASH in 2005, according to Timm.

“He was a really good friend in high school and has been a friend since then,” Timm explained. “He’s someone I’ve known for a long time, and I know he will do well.”

Officials presented Timm with a plaque and allowed him to keep his nameplate as a keepsake of his time on the board.
