STEVENS POINT — Former Stevens Point native, Bryanna Banx$, the multi-award winning drag queen and former Miss Gay Wisconsin USofA, is returning to Main Street Taps in downtown Stevens Point for the Bryanna Banx$ & Friends Drag Show Part 2 on April 27.

Banx$ and her crew of renown performing peers are returning to the area after their last sold-out show left fans wanting more.

“A lot of people were left waiting outside hoping space would open up to get in,” Banx$ said about her show last January in an interview with the Gazette.

“We planned one show, and we couldn’t do pre-sale tickets, and I knew it would sell out but didn’t know it would get sold out in the first half hour.”

Banx$ came prepared this time around, planning for two separate shows, allowing for more guests throughout the evening of music and entertainment.

“This go-round with the owner’s approval we decided to plan two shows, ” Banx$ explained. “Giving everyone a chance to have a good time and see a fabulous drag show.” Banx$ added: “After the first show, everyone who wants to stay for the second show, will have to get in line to re-enter.”

The queens hope to accommodate as many visitors as possible, feeling the event allows an openness that can be impactful for those in attendance.

“I think events like this are great for whoever wants to be a part of them because it showcases another side of entertainment the world has to offer,” Banx$ said. “And it also gives us LGBTQA+ a safe space to be who we are.” But this isn’t the diva’s last show at Main Street Taps.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the previous performance has allowed for Banx$ & Friends Drag Show to prepare for two future acts booked later this year, July 20 and November 2. Banx$ believes these gleaming evenings of collaborative energy provide a welcoming and fun environment for all in attendance.

“While we will not always see eye to eye with everyone, it is ok to put differences aside and enjoy a casual night out on the town doing something that you don’t get to do often, or ever,” she said.

The 21+ shows on April 27 starts at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with a $5 cover fee.
