Highlights and interview with senior shortstop Hunter Garski and freshman pitcher Blade Niewiadomski, and an interview with head coach Jack Brooks and sophomore catcher Isaac Cychosz, following the Rosholt High School baseball team’s game against Almond-Bancroft at Brooks Field in Rosholt Monday, April 29.
Garski went 1-for-2 with two runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases in the Hornets’ 7-0 win over Almond.
Niewiadomski had a double at the plate and earned the win on the mound, as he struck out 12 and walked two in a two-hit shutout over six and 2/3 innings, before he reached his pitch limit.
The win moved Rosholt (7-1-1, 4-1) into a three-way tie atop the Central Wisconsin Conference (CWC) standings with Almond (4-1) and Pacelli (4-1).

Cychosz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in the win, which was the 528th in the coaching career of Brooks (528-152-1), who passed former Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) baseball head coach George Roman (526-180) last week to move into seventh place on the all-time wins list for spring baseball coaches in Wisconsin history.
