STEVENS POINT — High school age students will learn art, music or video production from faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at this summer’s Camp COFAC.
Held June 16-21 on the UW-Stevens Point campus, the camp includes a full week of exploration in one of these tracks, where participants learn new techniques and gain experience. Campers may spend the week living on campus or commute to workshops daily. Camp counselors are UW-Stevens Point students majoring in art, music and video production. It is sponsored through the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC).
“Camp COFAC has been offered at UW-Stevens Point for more than 10 years and is the only fine arts camp in the state that uses university faculty to guide and instruct campers,” said Anne Rogalski, COFAC outreach program manager.
Tune Magazine, a publication of the National Association for Music Education, included UW-Stevens Point in its “Best Music Schools Special Report” as one of the top 43 music schools in the country that has achieved technological innovations in its curriculum.
The cost is $650 for residential campers or $500 for commuters. To learn more or register by Monday, June 3 (online or with a printed form), go to www.uwsp.edu/cofac/campCOFAC.
