Safety Fair heads to Plover this weekend

PLOVER — Portage County Emergency Agencies and Mark Toyota of Plover will host their annual Safety Fair this weekend.
The free, fun and educational event is May 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine at Mark Toyota at Village Park in Plover. This event is held annually to recognize National EMS Week. People of all ages are welcome as there will be opportunities for all.
A number of agencies will be participating in the safety fair focusing on safety and emergency preparedness for all ages. Child fingerprinting, face painting, rescue tool demonstration, emergency vehicle displays, fire safety house, boat simulator, helicopter transport education and hands only CPR are just some of the events planned for the day.
Plover Fire Department will be showcasing their new aerial platform. Plover Police K-9 officer “Bill” and other local law enforcement K-9 officers will be providing demonstrations. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the Boys and Girls Club throughout the day.
