ArtsWalk takes over downtown area this Friday

STEVENS POINT — ArtsWalk is slated to take over the downtown area on Friday, May 17.
The collaboration of artistic expression will feature the winner of the “Operation Trash Canvas” contest, as well as a live performance led by Galynne Goodwill, as she leads this year’s Mass Guitar Incident. Guitarists of all ages and experience levels will come together to perform various songs, including: “End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys, “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, and “I’m a Believer”by The Monkees.
There will be performing artists, and artwork in storefront windows and sidewalks throughout the downtown area. In addition, a live performance will be held at Green Thumb Alternatives by the band Bear Down at 5PM.
The ArtsWalk event kicks off at 5PM, with the Mass Guitar Incident starting at 7:30 p.m.
