Letter: Special thanks to Lions Camp attendees

To the Editor:
Lion Henry would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped make our yearly 30-30 fundraiser a success.
Because of your faith in the Lions you purchased the 30-30 raffle tickets every year. Most of the money raised goes to the state Lions Camp at Rosholt. This summer there will be 1200 plus youngers and oldsters attending a 1-week vacation at the Lions camp. Some of these people will be visually blind, diabetic, or have a medically diagnosed disability.
Want to see the Lions camp in action this summer? Drive out; it’s 1 mile east of Rosholt on Hwy 66 and 1 mile north on County A. The camp can be visited 12 months of the year by the public. There are 9 Lions Clubs in Portage County. Why not join one off these clubs? Lion Henry would like to share another subject with you. Don’t forget to put your flag out on Lion Henry’s birthday. He will be turning 93 on June 14th.
Lion Henry has been a charter member of the Stevens Point evening Lions Club. The club was chartered 50 years ago and was sponsored by the Stevens Point Noon Lions club. Thank you Noon Lions Club. There are 3 members who have donated 50 years of service to the Lions; Lion Henry, Lion Butch Lind, and Lion Bill Jajewski.
