2019 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Dates Announced

STEVENS POINT — The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) offers eligible people one set of vouchers to buy locally grown fresh produce (fruits, vegetables, and herbs) at approved local farmers markets or road stands.

The 2019 vouchers are valid June 1 – October 31 and are available on a first-come basis. Applicants must verify Portage County residency by providing a piece of current mail at time of application.  People age 60 or older and Native Americans age 55 or older, with household incomes at or below the following may be eligible.

Distribution is scheduled for the following dates and times:

Monday, June 3                     9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Lincoln Center, Stevens Point

Monday, June 3                     2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Lincoln Center, Stevens Point  

Monday, June 17                   10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Lincoln Center, Stevens Point

Friday, June 28                      10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.   Lincoln Center, Stevens Point

Monday, June 3                     11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Jensen Center, Amherst    

Tuesday, June 4                     11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Park Lodge, Junction City  

Thursday, June 6                   11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Municipal Building, Plover  

Thursday, June 11                 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.         Village Hall, Rosholt                  

Wednesday, June 12             11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Sunset Manor, Almond
