Fundraiser announced for local man’s battle with cancer

STEVENS POINT — A local man is receiving help from the community in his battle with cancer.
Ben Kollock is a Stevens Point resident recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Kollock and his wife Katie are residents of Stevens Point and are both active in their community.
Real Deals on Home Décor and Clothing Boutique and Point of Discovery School are teaming up to help raise money to help with medical expenses for Ben’s battle with cancer.
Quick Facts:
- A portion of the sales at Real Deals during the week of May 27 thru June 1 will go towards this cause. Come shop at their store at 817 Clark Street, downtown Stevens Point during this week and help support this wonderful couple. Hours: Memorial Day 10-3, Tues.-Fri. 10-6, Sat. 10-4.
- Money raised at a bake sale, held Friday May 31st from 3 to 6 pm at Real Deals and sponsored by students and parents from Point of Discovery School, where Katie is a teacher, will be given to the couple to offset the medical expenses as well.
