Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) sophomore Trey Zagrzebski has committed to play junior hockey next season for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
The Stevens Point native was a sixth-round selection of the Colts (107th overall) in the 2019 Priority Selection April 6, and made his commitment to the organization official May 15.
A 5-9, 174-pound forward, Zagrzebski had 22 goals, 30 assists and 52 points last season for SPASH, which finished 20-5-2 following an 8-6 loss to Wausau West in a WIAA Division 1 Sectional Final.
“The organization is very excited about the commitment from Trey,” said Barrie Colts general manager and head scout Jason Ford in a statement. “We welcome him to the Colts family, and feel he will be a key contributor for the club moving forward throughout his junior career.
“He is a skilled forward with excellent compete and hockey sense,” he said. “He was a welcomed addition to our recent Development Camp, and brings a variety of facets to the game that will help the organization.”
