WIAA State Track Day 2 Update

Update from the final day of the WIAA State Track and Field Meet at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse Saturday, June 1.
After winning the 3,200 run on the opening day of the WIAA Division 3 State Meet, Rosholt High School senior Adam Rzentkowski collected two more State Titles Saturday, as he won the 800 run in 1:56.35, and also won the 1,600 run in 4:20.38.
The Rosholt boys finished fourth in Division 3 with 30 points, while La Crosse Aquinas won the State Championship with 58 points.
The Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) girls’ 4×400 relay team also brought home a State Title, as senior Taylor Konczal, freshman Mallory Greenwood, junior Maddie Hyland and freshman Roisin Willis combined to win the race in 3:53.81.
Also for the SPASH girls, senior Madelynne Brown was 14th in the triple jump, and senior Maria Dade was 19th in the discus, while the Panthers finished ninth in the team standings with 20 points, as Muskego won the State Championship with 51 points.
Senior Gage Haack placed fourth in the shot put and senior Blake Milkowski finished fifth in the 800 run to lead the SPASH boys Saturday.
Milkowski also teamed up with freshman Zach Scharbarth, junior Jake Lepak and senior Chad Franz to place fifth in the 4×800 relay, while Lepak was ninth in the 1,600 run, Franz came in 14th in the 800 run, and sophomore Karter Rashke was 17th in the shot put.
For the Division 3 boys, the Almond-Bancroft High School 4×200 relay team of junior Dylan Omernick, junior Jackson Beggs, senior Noah Kollock and junior Matt Lukas reached the podium after they finished fourth in the finals of the event Saturday.
In Division 2, Amherst High School freshman Lauren Bird finished ninth in the shot put Saturday with a mark of 37-01.00.
