STEVENS POINT — Parks officials have approved the purchase of new playground equipment at Pfiffner Park on Wednesday night.
Officials had three bids to choose from, and the city went with Northland Recreation for $75,400. This comes in under the allotted funds of $80,000 set aside in the parks budget.
“The initial design and concept was all done through Northland,” said Interim Parks Director Scott Beduhn. “We just feel that they understand what it is we want.”
According to Beduhn, the new playground will include a Merry-Go-Round, and a climbing wall. This will replace the current playground equipment at the site.
Final approval for this project will take place at this month’s city council.
