STEVENS POINT — The Levitt AMP series kicked off last night the sultry and soulful sounds of The O’My’s.
What drummer Alfonzo Jones describes as a “face-blowing soulfest” took over the Pfiffner Park bandshell on Thursday, June 6. The group takes their inspirations from such acts as Curtis Mayfield and Sly and the Family Stone.
“In terms of songs, every song is completely different stylistically,” said vocalist Maceo Haymes.
The group blends Haymes’ deep and soulful voice with the talented fingers of Nick Hennessey to create a fusion of classic soul with a touch of hip-hop. To find out more information you can check out their website at theomysband.com
