SPASH girls soccer lands six on All-WVC Team

Seniors Abby Gemza, Lauren Johnson and Sierra Hefferan of the Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) girls soccer team each received First Team All-Conference honors, to lead the 2019 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference (WVC) team.

Gemza was a Unanimous First Team All-WVC selection at midfielder for the second year in a row, after she was Second Team All-WVC as a freshman and as a sophomore.

Johnson was a First Team All-WVC selection at forward for the second year in a row, after she was a Unanimous First Team choice in 2018.

Hefferan was a First Team All-WVC selection at defender, after she was Second Team All-WVC in 2018 as a midfielder.

SPASH senior defender Madisyn Rogan was named Second Team All-WVC, while sophomore midfielder Hailey Rehman and senior defender Julia Moder were both named Honorable Mention All-WVC.

The Panthers finished third in the WVC this season with a 7-5 record, behind D.C. Everest (11-0-1) and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (9-1-2).
