STEVENS POINT — The tenth annual Z Tourney, a fishing tournament in memory of Dan Zurawski, will be held on July 13.

Hosted at the Lakeside Bar, 736 Wausau Rd, Stevens Point, proceeds from the event will fund a scholarship to a graduating high school senior in the Portage County area planning to enroll in the College of Natural Resources at UWSP and/or a current UWSP student with a major in Natural Resources.

Dan Zurawski was a Pacelli High graduate and was pursuing a degree in the College of Natural Resources at UWSP when he tragically drowned in 2009 at Buck Lake near Rhinelander.  His family established the scholarship fund to honor his memory in the hopes that other UWSP students could carry on what he was unable to do.

Registration begins at 6AM with the tournament portion closing at 2PM. with fish lengths recorded and winners announced at 3PM. There will be additional raffle drawings at 4PM.

Tournament fee is $30 per person with teams of three or more charged $75 for the whole boat.  Boats raising $100.00 or more will have their entry fee waived.
