Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners announce next gathering, Dave’s famous Caribbean chicken returns

STEVENS POINT — For those interested in becoming involved in the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners (W/NP), now’s your chance.
They will be having a gathering for volunteers and people interested to learn more about Wisconsin’s 54 year Partnership with Nicaragua on Saturday, June 29. According to a press release, there will be opportunities to learn about current activities, including the shipments of 12 containers of donations sent from Stevens Point to Nicaragua in the past 10 months, how this happens and how people can be a part of it.
This event will be held at 2139 N. 2nd Dr.
“W/NP strives to help improve the quality of life for all involved, here in Wisconsin and in Nicaragua, while making a huge difference for thousands of citizens and communities. The organizational mission of W/NP is to strengthen the human capacity of people in both locations by bringing citizens together for the good of others.” said organizer Amy Wiza in an email statement.
“…the true nature of American generosity and humanitarian commitment is evident through Wisconsin Partners!” said Kirk Dahlgren, former USAID Mission Director.
