STEVENS POINT — The education program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has been ranked as second in the nation according to Study.com.

The site’s Best Colleges for Education Majors list ranked UW-Stevens Point’s education program highly for program outcomes, graduation and retention rates, advising services, student organization opportunities and vast program options.

“UW-Stevens Point’s School of Education has a passion for excellence,” said Lynda Fernholz, chair of the program, adding that students and faculty work together and push themselves to be the best.

UW-Stevens Point offers bachelor’s degrees for education within early childhood, elementary, science, social studies, English, music and other areas, as well as a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in Educational Sustainability.

Professional staff provide support with advising, student teaching experiences, licensure, career development and placement and a thriving scholarship program. Students are also involved in several award-winning education organizations.
