Police investigating sexual harassment incident involving minor

STEVENS POINT — Police are investigating an incident involving a sexual harassment claim towards a minor. The incident occured on Wisconsin Street, west of Wood Street in the black bridge area.

According to a Stevens Point Police Department news release:

“Officers responded to a call from a 17 year old male subject who stated he was approached by an “older” white male who made unwanted requests that were sexual in nature. No physical contact was attempted.”

The 17-year-old male was fishing at the time, who called law enforcement immediately after the incident. Police would find the suspect gone when searching the area.

Police have released the following description:

Description:

-Older White Male
-gray hair and beard
-possibly missing teeth
-gray t-shirt and khaki shorts
-riding blue mountain bike
