STEVENS POINT — Residents are less than two weeks away from the opening of the second Burger King location in Stevens Point.

According to Cave Enterprises, the Burger King location at 1617 Schofield Ave. will open on July 17. According to planning documents, the location will hold a dozen outside seats in addition to regular inside seating.

This will be the second location, the first at 5431 US-10.

Council members approved the move last year, which also includes the construction of a Taco John’s, slated to neighbor the Burger King location. No official word on when Taco John’s will be completed.
