STEVENS POINT — The annual SpiritFEST at Holy Spirit Parish takes place from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 28 on the grounds of St. Stanislaus Church, 838 Fremont Street, Stevens Point.

“SpiritFEST is a wonderful way to build community by gathering together for worship, food and socialization,” said Brant Bergeron, SpiritFEST Committee Chair. “This year, we don’t want anyone to be ‘scared away’ by the construction of our new Ministry Center next to the church.  There will be plenty of parking in the St. Michael’s Hospital and UWSP University Center parking lots…and the streets around the church will be closed to create a great ‘street festival’ atmosphere,” Bergeron added.

Activities include:

  • Mass featuring polka music by Old Time Brass and the Choraleers at 10:00 AM
  • $5000 in raffle cash to be given away at the end of the day…double the amount from two years ago.  Raffle tickets on sale on the grounds starting at 11 AM to 4:45 PM. Drawing at 5:00 PM.
  • Pull tabs and money tree
  • Chicken dinner with homemade chicken soup in Kostka Hall in the St. Stans basement (10:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
  • Food/beverage tent with brisket sandwiches, burgers, brats, fries and cheese curds (11 AM start)
  • Live music from Old Time Brass (11 AM – 2 PM) and Gray Catz (2 PM to 5 PM) in the music tent
  • Bid on 40 of the most enticing themed baskets you will see at any parish festival/picnic…all valued at least $100
  • Try your luck at Bingo (2 -4 PM) in the church basement ($30 game payouts and $75 blackout for final game)
  • Win delicious pastries at the cake walk…everyone is a winner!
  • Stop by the free petting zoo (Noon – 3)
  • Free youth games and activities from 11 AM to 3 PM
  • Book nook to purchase books, CDs, games, puzzles, etc. and support Holy Spirit’s Haiti Mission

Something for all ages at SpiritFEST 2019 on Sunday, July 28.
