STEVENS POINT — UW-Stevens Point Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs Kristen Hendricksen will be leaving the university.
According to an email sent by Chancellor Bernie Patterson, Hendrickson accepted a position as a chief financial officer at UW-Madison’s School of Education. Her last day will be Aug. 9.
“As the university’s CFO, Kristen was responsible for UW-Stevens Point’s $219 million operating budget,” said Patterson in an email. “Since joining UW-Stevens Point in April 2017, she has worked to increase understanding of the university’s financial situation and developed a budget plan to close our structural deficit.”
The Business Affairs Division includes about 160 employees in Facility Services, Financial Operations, Budget and Planning, Human Resources, Capital Planning and Budget, Risk Management, Sustainability, University Police and Security Services. Under Kristen’s leadership, a new police chief and human resources director were hired.
“We thank Kristen for her service and wish her the best in her new role.”
An interim Business Affairs Division leader will be appointed shortly.
